Mission:

The Institute of Biblical Greek has a mission to promote academic study of the New Testament in the original language. If only five percent of the Christian church were able to read and study the New Testament in the original Greek many divisions would be reconciled and much spiritual growth in unity would result. Currently, the interest in the Greek language is a mere fraction of the interest in Latin studies. So the promotion of Biblical Greek is truly a mission work.

One way to assess the interest level in these studies are national standardized tests. The National Biblical Greek Exam made its debut in the 2003-2004 academic year. This exam not only provides students and instructors with national rankings and educational trends, but it also acts as a learning tool. Since a unique exam is generated for every test, students are encouraged to take the exam multiple times. With each exam, students find out exactly where they can review and improve on their next test. The Institute of Biblical Greek is proud to sponsor this exam.

The Institute of Biblical Greek is committed to provide both live distance education and conventional classes to make this Biblical language more accessible. Currently, we offer both live online classes and touring intensive seminars. The Institute of Biblical Greek is establishing an endowment to generate need-based scholarships for these classes. The Institute currently receives research grants and, as donations increase, it hopes to offer grants to advance Biblical Greek academically and to broader circles of motivated Christians. The Institute of Biblical Greek is also planning on starting a publishing branch to promote more diverse Biblical Greek learning tools for all ages. In addition to empowering new authors this branch will also reprint many classic and hard to find Greek texts that have long since gone out of print.

The Institute of Biblical Greek is also committed to offering many educational pages freely online. This not only includes educational lectures, graphic, charts and audio files, but also recommending books and links to other helpful sites online.

The language of the New Testament may well be the most essential element for the life of the Christian church. Thank you for your involvement in this mission.
