|
|
Hello, I have just emerged from the stone age. This about the third time I have ever posted a note on this forum thingy and I have never used the internet before. I have found that when I want to ask a question and I want to type a word of sentence in the teknia greek font, I don't know how. I have tried clicking on the Greek button up above this little screen, and all I get is a [g]. I have also tried highlighting the stuff that want to be in the greek font and then clicking the Greek button--I'm not getting anywhere. Can anybody give me step-by-step directions on how to do that?
Thanks, Noelle

mornin'
You should begin by printing out a "keyboard map." There's a link on the bottom of the main page where you have to click the "enter the agora" button. This will tell you where all the accents are and how to get omega and things like that.
You have to click on the "greek" button to get the [ g] thingy. This tells the computer that all the following is supposed to appear in Greek.
You type your phrase. The letter, or quotation mark, or bracket thing, that you use for the accent goes directly after the letter that is supposed to be accented.
Then you click on the "greek" button again and you get: [/g] and the computer knows you are finished typing in greek.
Hope this answers all your questions. I wouldn't have figured it out except that I live with someone who did this last year.....
Cheers,
Joanna

Hello Joanna,
Your helpful little hints were greatly appreciated. I still haven't quite figured everything out yet. I was able to print up an oversized copy of the Greek keyboard; I haven't been able to print it all up on one page. I will keep trying different methods. Thanks much,
Born Helpless (Noelle)
